Yu-chuan Wu is an assistant research fellow at the Institute of History and Philology at Academia Sinica, Taiwan. A former psychiatrist, he is interested in the history of psychiatry and psychology in East Asia. He has published works on the history of neurasthenia and the history of hypnotism in Japan in the early twentieth century.
