Biography:

Che-chiα Chαng is Associate Research Fellow at the Institute of Modem History, Academia Sinica, Taipei. His major field is the early modern history of medicine, especially the interchange among China, Japan, and the West. His published works cover the translation of anatomy into the Eastern Asian languages, forensic medicine, astrology, bonesetting, and drugs in East Asia. He won the Zhu Kezhen prize in 2008 for his paper on China’s rhubarb trade in the Eighteenth century.
